Marvel Studios recently shocked comic book fans by revealing the initial star studded cast for its highly anticipated X Men reboot!
The officially announced lineup includes Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Maya Boyd as Storm, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, and Adam Driver stepping into the villainous role of Mister Sinister.
However, eagle eyed enthusiasts immediately noticed that Wolverine was conspicuously absent from the initial character roster. Emerging industry reports suggest that Logan might actually sit out the mutant team’s inaugural MCU feature film entirely.
Taking this creative approach could allow Marvel Studios to carefully build and establish its new generation of mutant heroes before eventually introducing one of the most iconic, world famous characters in superhero history.
Despite the widespread speculation across the fan community, Wolverines total absence from the project has not been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios.
Studio head Kevin Feige clearly emphasized that the D23 announcement represented only the first wave of cast members, meaning additional character reveals could still be waiting in the wings as development continues.
