Spider Man Brand New Day Art Book AI Controversy Sparks Fan Backlash

Marvel fans and digital art enthusiasts are expressing intense disappointment after discovering that generative artificial intelligence was reportedly utilized in the creation of official concept artwork for the Spider Man: Brand New Day art book!

Controversial piece, titled “Big City, Little Spider” by concept artist Scott McInnes, sparked massive online controversy after observant readers began highlighting surreal, glaring distortions throughout the depicted New York City environment.

Disappointed fans quickly called out unnatural visual artifacts scattered across the background imagery, including severely warped taxicabs, structurally impossible buildings, floating traffic lights, and nonsensical fire escapes all telltale signs associated with generative AI tools.

Integration of artificial intelligence seems strictly limited to this specific environmental concept piece, critics and professional illustrators alike are openly questioning why automated software was used to represent one of the most famous cities in modern pop culture.

Neither Marvel Studios nor the concept artist have publicly addressed the growing backlash or offered an explanation regarding the decision to include AI assisted artwork in a premium published collection. The situation continues to reignite heated industry debates about artistic integrity in studio art books.
