A tiny, adorable kitten was safely rescued by compassionate workers at River Reach Construction in Barberton, Ohio, after alert site supervisor Chase Guello heard faint, desperate cries emanating from deep inside a massive Komatsu excavator.
Without hesitation, the dedicated crew carefully removed the heavy machine’s protective skid plate to safely free the frightened feline. They affectionately named her Sue, and after ensuring she received proper medical care and nourishment, the team officially decided that Sue would permanently serve as the company's official shop cat!
Her heartwarming rescue story gained so much viral attention that it caught the eye of Komatsu itself. The giant heavy equipment company generously sent Sue her very own custom fitted, tiny safety vest and mini hard hat to make her an honorary team member. She might not be operating the heavy excavators anytime soon, but Sue certainly looks fully prepared to supervise the entire construction crew on site! Talk about a hard hat hero making a paws itive impact!
