Azzi Fudd Becomes First Rookie to Win WNBA 3-Point Contest

Dallas Wings rookie Azzi Fudd made history at the 2026 WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, becoming the first rookie ever to win the 3-Point Contest. The No. 1 overall pick put on a masterclass in the championship round, edging out Bridget Carleton by scoring 30 points and connecting on 21 of her 27 shots.

Fudd's electric performance served as a major highlight of the festivities. Following her trophy presentation, she celebrated the historic achievement and playfully challenged NBA star Stephen Curry to a long-awaited three-point shootout.

The event notably featured a new champion, as defending titleholder Sabrina Ionescu did not compete, later clarifying that she had not received an official invitation to participate in this year's contest.
