Voice Actor Tetsu Inada Shaves Head to Promote Yani Neko Anime

To promote the July 2026 anime adaptation of the manga "Chainsmoker Cat" (Yani Neko) by NyanNyanFactory, the voice cast went to extreme lengths. The comedy series follows Yaniko, a heavy-smoking catgirl, and her landlord Otani Oya, who constantly bears the brunt of her antics.

For the promotional campaign, veteran voice actor Tetsu Inada, who plays Otani Oya, committed fully by shaving his head to perfectly match his bald character. Not to be outdone, Yuuko Natsuyoshi, the voice of Yaniko, adopted her character’s signature hairstyle and laid-back attitude for the promo. 

This level of dedication has delighted fans, proving that sometimes the most memorable anime promotions are the ones where the voice cast goes above and beyond to bring their characters to life in the real world.
