Announced at Anime Expo 2026, the anime adaptation of Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc is officially set to premiere in October 2026. This highly anticipated season tackles the longest arc of Yura Urushibara's original manga, focusing on Mudano's hunt for Yaoroshi, who has allied with the independent "Kikoku Unit" to eradicate the Momotaro.
Led by Hayate Todoroki (voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara), the Kikoku Unit brings a deeply personal vendetta to the battlefield. Director Ato Nonaka and Studio Hibari are returning to helm the project, with Yukie Sugawara writing and KOHTA YAMAMOTO composing.
While the core cast—including Kazuki Ura and Hiroshi Kamiya—reprises their roles, the series welcomes eight new characters, featuring instructors voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto and Kent Ito. This arc promises a darker, more complex dive into the ongoing war between Oni and Momotaro.
