The official JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime account has announced that veteran voice actor Tomokazu Sugita will voice the main antagonist, Funny Valentine, in the highly anticipated "Steel Ball Run" adaptation. Having previously voiced protagonist Joseph Joestar in 2012, Sugita’s casting has thrilled fans.
Newly released key art showcases President Valentine in his signature pink coat with long, curled blonde ringlets. Following the release of the first stage of the anime as a standalone special on Netflix in March 2026, Valentine is set to make his formal debut when the second stage begins weekly streaming on September 25, 2026.
David Production will faithfully adapt Valentine's original manga design, meaning he will first appear in his shorter, stouter physical form. This confirms that the studio will not skip his early-story appearance, much to the delight of purists.
