Manga has officially taken over public transit, with publisher Kodansha wrapping an entire LA Metro Rail train in gorgeous "Witch Hat Atelier" artwork. The eye-catching design features the series' signature black-and-white character illustrations paired with prominent Kodansha branding.
This massive campaign promotes "Kodansha House," a special pop-up gallery running from July 2 to 12 in Little Tokyo (located at 701 E 3rd St). The interactive showcase gives fans a unique opportunity to view the celebrated series' detailed illustrations up close in person.
The creative collaboration highlights an increasingly popular trend in stateside manga marketing, where major publishers utilize public transit to boost visibility and connect directly with daily commuters.
