Erling Haaland’s $750 Raccoon Purchase Sparks Global Sales for Texas Store
During Norway’s World Cup run, football star Erling Haaland fully embraced Texas culture, sharing his travels on YouTube. His visit to Wild Bill’s Western Store included a shopping spree of cowboy boots, hats, and a unique $750 raccoon statue—which he flew home with after Norway's tournament exit.
That quirky purchase has turned the local Texas store into a global sensation. Owner Julie Newport revealed they have been hit with over 2,000 online orders, prompting the store to enable international shipping for the first time ever to accommodate the 30% of purchases coming from overseas.
Wild Bill's has now become a tourist destination, with fans visiting to snap photos in the exact spots Haaland did, right next to a newly erected picture shrine dedicated to the striker.
