Dodgers and One Piece Team Up for Epic Stadium Crossover Event

The Los Angeles Dodgers went full anime for the return of "One Piece Night," debuting a custom 19-second crossover animation co-produced by Toei Animation. Projected on the DodgerVision jumbotrons during their game against the San Diego Padres, the short featured Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates playing baseball in Dodgers uniforms, using Luffy's stretchy rubber powers.

The celebration extended onto the field as a life-sized Monkey D. Luffy mascot took the mound at Dodger Stadium. Decked out in full costume, the iconic captain threw the ceremonial first pitch directly to Dodgers infielder Kike Hernandez.

For fans, the ultimate prize was the exclusive stadium giveaways. The first 52,000 ticketholders scored a limited-edition co-branded straw hat alongside an exclusive Monkey D. Luffy "DON!!" trading card, which instantly became the night's most coveted collectible.
