In a historic crossover, CloverWorks has revealed the trailer for the anime adaptation of Sumiko Arai's popular yuri manga, The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy At All, featuring Nirvana’s "Breed" as its official opening theme. Set to premiere on Crunchyroll in January 2027, it marks the first time a Nirvana song will open an anime.
The legendary Dave Grohl, Nirvana's former drummer, personally announced the partnership at Anime Expo 2026. Grohl authorized the licensing rights himself and endorsed the series, sharing that Kurt Cobain would have loved it.
