In a recent interview on Today, acclaimed director Christopher Nolan confirmed that fans will have to wait a while for his next project. Following the massive release of The Odyssey, Nolan stated that his next movie will take "at least" three years, pushing a potential premiere to 2029 or beyond.
Nolan shared that adapting Homer's epic pushed his physical and creative stamina to the absolute limits, noting that tackling such ambitious material is meant to be challenging.
The hiatus comes on the heels of major success, as The Odyssey scored Nolan's biggest global opening ever at $264 million alongside critical praise. While he previously hinted at an interest in directing a traditional horror film next, no official plans have been set.
