Bank Robber Uses Stolen Kitten as Accomplice in Failed Maryland Heist
A bank robbery in Maryland took a bizarre turn when a man entered a PNC branch holding a three-month-old tuxedo kitten. In an unusual move, the suspect allegedly handed the kitten to bank staff so his hands would be free to write a robbery demand note. Police quickly apprehended him before he could make a getaway.
The kitten, named Magnolia, had actually been stolen moments earlier from an adoption habitat at a nearby Pet Supplies Plus. Fortunately, she was unharmed and spent her time waiting safely in the bank manager's office.
Beltsville Community Cats has since reunited with Magnolia and joked that her brief "life of crime" is officially over. The rescue group shared that the adorable kitten is still looking for a forever home where the only things she'll steal are hearts, cuddles, and treats.
